Our story
The Juno journey really began in 2011 when our company founders worked together to pioneer the development and commercialization of the first cell-free DNA-based non-invasive prenatal screen (NIPS) in the United States, trusted by doctors for millions of pregnancies each year. And our eyes were opened to the massive importance of prenatal information and the overwhelming obstacles of cost and access.
Company formation
Juno was born out of a need to address the problems within the prenatal healthcare system. We came back together in 2017 to revisit and rethink that initial NIPS technology, eliminating the need for traditional blood or venous draws and in the process lowering the costs placed on pregnant women. Since then, our team has grown to include leading scientists, medical doctors, engineers, and creatives. And we’re looking to shake up the landscape of traditional prenatal care.
